The result is a streamlined custom appearance that enhances your bike’s profile without complicated modifications. Whether you’re refreshing your Touring bike’s style or completing a full custom build, this guide ensures a smooth, confident installation from start to finish.

1. Access the Mounting Points:
- Remove the Seat: Unscrew the rear seat bolt and set the seat aside.
- Remove the Saddlebags: Open the bags, release the internal mounting pins/levers, and lift the bags off the bike.
- Remove the Side Covers: Gently pull the side covers away from the frame grommets to expose the lower guard mounts.

2. Remove the OEM Saddlebag Guards:
- Lower Connection Bolt: Use a 3/16" Allen and a 7/16" wrench to remove the bolt connecting the guard to the lower frame rail. Keep this hardware.
- Rear Mount: Use a T45 Torx on the front and a 9/16" wrench on the backside to remove the main support bolt. Keep this hardware.
- Upper Tab: Remove the final T45 screw located at the top mounting tab.
- Extract Guard: Slide the heavy OEM guard out and away from the bike.

3. Install the Eliminator Bracket:
- Positioning: Slide the new Eliminator piece over the frame rail where the old guard was seated.
- Start Hardware: Reinstall the T45 screw and nut into the upper mounting tab first.
- Align Lower Mount: Reinstall the OEM lower bolt and nut through the bracket and frame rail.
- Tighten: 1. Tighten the upper T45 mounting tab first to ensure proper seating. 2. Tighten the lower bolt using your 3/16" Allen and 7/16" wrench.

4. Reassemble the Bike:
- Snap the side covers back into their rubber grommets.
- Reinstall your saddlebags onto the mounts.
- Secure the seat back onto the motorcycle.
