HOGWORKZ® Takes on Sturgis: Day One Recap, Installs, and a Tattoo to Remember

The first full day at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is officially in the books and what a day it was!

Kyle, Justin, Derek, Al, AJ, and the HOGWORKZ® crew hit the ground running, knocking out installs, reconnecting with longtime customers, and soaking in everything downtown Sturgis has to offer. For some of the team, it was their first time at the rally. For others, it was a long-awaited return after several years away. Either way, the energy was undeniable.

Back in Sturgis & Busier Than Ever

The morning started fast and didn’t slow down. The HOGWORKZ® booth stayed packed with riders looking for upgrades, installs, and expert advice. From LED lighting installs to fitment questions and full product walkthroughs, the team was head-first into bikes all day long.

Sturgis isn’t just about selling parts, it’s about learning. Every install becomes real-world R&D. Seeing bikes up close, diagnosing issues, and helping riders on the spot fuels future innovation. It’s one of the reasons HOGWORKZ® products continue to evolve year after year.

Reconnecting with old friends, meeting new customers, and seeing HOGWORKZ® parts out in the wild made it all worth it.

There’s something surreal about walking downtown and spotting your own products on bikes everywhere; outer fairing LEDs, Road Glide headlights, Sabertooth lights, Low Rider ST upgrades.

More than just pride, it’s about impact. Knowing riders are enjoying the products, but riding safer because of upgraded LED visibility.

From Road Glides to Low Rider STs, the installs were nonstop. The Sabertooth headlights were a huge hit.

Sturgis Sights: From Boss Hoss to Joker Builds

Of course, Sturgis wouldn’t be Sturgis without the wild builds.

A V8-powered Boss Hoss rolling through town? Unreal. A bike rocking a literal stop sign as a fairing lower? Legendary redneck ingenuity. A fully Joker-themed custom build complete with dice-filled tour pack holes? Pure art.

Downtown Sturgis transforms during rally week. What’s normally a quiet town becomes a sea of chrome, paint, music, and engines echoing off every storefront.

The HOGWORKZ® Box Legend

Some companies are known for performance. Others for style.

HOGWORKZ® might also be known for… boxes. It sounds funny but customers constantly comment on the quality of the packaging. Heavy-duty construction. Durable fluting. Built to survive shipping and then some. Some riders even reuse them as long-term storage. When you ship premium parts, you ship them in premium packaging. It’s all part of the experience.

A Tattoo in Sturgis? Why Not.

No rally trip is complete without doing something memorable.

For AJ, that meant getting his first HOGWORKZ® tattoo right there in downtown Sturgis. After five months with the company and his first rally experience, it felt right.

A custom hog logo. Fresh ink. Rally energy.

Two to three hours later, it was official.

First HOGWORKZ® tattoo. In Sturgis. With the crew!

You can’t script that…

Wrapping Up Day One

By the end of the night, installs were still happening. A fresh Silvertooth install on a Low Rider ST. Customers rolling out with brighter headlights. AJ rolling out with fresh ink.

Day one at Sturgis proved one thing:

HOGWORKZ® isn’t just a parts company it’s a community. From R&D insights to hands-on installs, from downtown walks to spontaneous tattoos, this rally reminded us why we do what we do.

And we’re just getting started.
