Softail Saddlebag Conversion Kit Installation from HOGWORKZ® ('84-'17)
Convert your FLS Softail, Fatboy, Heritage Softail to a bonafide bagger! Extend your journey with touring luggage. Our bracket system works with HOGWORKZ® or Harley OEM '94-'13 Standard or Stretched Saddlebags as well as HOGWORKZ® or Harley '14-Current One Touch Standard or Stretched Saddlebags!
Includes all necessary mounting hardware. A must have for anyone looking upgrade their Softail for that ultra custom look!
1. Remove Passenger Foot Peg:
- Disengage the retaining clip.
- Use a Torx T45 to remove the main foot peg bracket from the frame.
2. Remove Fender Strut Screws and Docking Hardware (if applicable):
- Remove the fender strut screws.
- If docking hardware is installed, remove that as well.
3. Line Up the Saddlebag Support Bracket:
- Align the saddlebag support bracket with the fender support holes.
- Reattach the strut screws removed in the previous step.
- Ensure all strut screws are properly tightened.
4. Reattach the Foot Peg Bracket to the Subframe:
- Use the longer supplied 3/8-inch screw to reattach the foot peg bracket to the subframe.
5. Secure the Saddlebag Support Bracket to the Back of the Subframe:
- Place the saddlebag support bracket, aligning it with the bottom hole on the back of the subframe.
- Secure it with the supplied lock nut.
6. Reinstall the Foot Peg:
- Reinstall the foot peg onto the bracket.
7. Attach U-Brackets:
- Attach the U-brackets to the saddlebag support bracket using the supplied flange bolt, washer, and flange nut.
8. Place Saddlebags on Support Bracket:
- Place the assembled saddlebags onto the support bracket.
- Ensure the grommets and bottom cushions are properly installed.
9. Secure Saddlebag with Hand-Turned Fasteners:
- Secure the saddlebags to the support bracket using the supplied hand-turned fasteners and sleeve washers.
