Mid Frame Air Deflector Install from HOGWORKZ® for '09+ Harley Touring & Trike Model

Designed to cool you down on those extremely hot days! These color-matched air deflectors attach to the frame below the seat, and direct heat away from the rider to improve comfort on hot summer rides. A quick & simple install and guaranteed to improve rider comfort!

1. Remove the Seat

  • Start by detaching the seat from your motorcycle to access the mid-frame area.

2. Locate Mounting Points:

  • Identify the two pre-existing holes on the mid-frame of your Harley. These are the mounting locations for the air deflectors.

3. Install the Speed Clip and Well Nut:

  • Top Hole: Insert the speed clip into the upper hole.
  • Bottom Hole: Insert the well nut into the lower hole.

4. Position the Air Deflector:

  • Carefully align the mid-frame air deflector with the installed speed clip and well nut.

5. Secure the Top (Finely Threaded) & Bottom (Coarsely Threaded):

  • Top: Use the finely threaded hex cap screw and washer to fasten the top portion of the air deflector to the speed clip. Tighten securely.
  • Bottom: Use the coarsely threaded hex cap screw and washer to fasten the bottom portion of the air deflector to the well nut. Tighten securely.
  • Important: Using the correct threaded screw is crucial for a proper and secure fit.

6. Repeat on Opposite Side:

  • Follow steps 2 through 5 to install the air deflector on the opposite side of the motorcycle.

6. Reattach the Seat:

  • Once both deflectors are installed, reposition and secure the seat.
