Meet Chantel the Wrenching Biker Babe!

She’s a skilled machinist and passionate biker. Last year she had a near-fatal accident and decided to convert her Street Glide to Road Glide after the wreck. Don't miss out on this tale of resilience and creativity.

Derek: Alright, Chantel, thanks for joining us. Let's dive right in. Tell us about your mean machine.

Chantel: Well, this used to be a Street Glide, but after a bit of an accident, I decided to give it a complete makeover. I teamed up with HOGWORKZ and used a bunch of their parts to create this custom Road Glide.

Derek: I heard you were in an accident. How did you end up getting the bike back on the road?

Chantel: It was a pretty scary experience. A box truck cut me off, and I ended up hitting the back of it. My bike slid down the freeway, and I rolled a couple times. Thankfully, I wasn't seriously injured, but my bike took some damage.

Derek: That's a close call. So, you decided to rebuild the bike yourself?

Chantel: Yeah, I didn't want to total it out. I loved that bike, so I decided to give it a new life.

Derek: The custom paint job is definitely eye-catching. How did you come up with that idea?

Chantel: I've always been a fan of darker colors, but I wanted something a bit different. Plus, I'm a machinist, so I thought it would be fun to incorporate some ghost wrenches as a nod to my profession.

Derek: So you're not just a biker, but also a skilled mechanic?

Chantel: Yeah, I've been working on bikes for about 5 years now. I’m also a machinist, I work on a CNC lathe and a manual lathe making Jeep parts.

Derek: That's impressive. How did you get into biking in the first place?

Chantel: I grew up around bikes, thanks to my family. Once I got older, I decided to give it a try myself. I've been hooked ever since.

Derek: How long did it take you to rebuild this bike after the accident?

Chantel: It took a few months, but it was definitely worth it. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Derek: What's the best part about riding a motorcycle?

Chantel: The freedom and the feeling of the open road. There's nothing quite like it.

Derek: I bet. Thanks again for taking the time to talk to us, Chantel.
