HOGWORKZ® Tapered Saddlebag LED Lights Installation for Harley® Touring '14-'25
Add an eye piercing beam of light that sits below your saddlebags. These LED saddlebag lights are designed with rider safety in mind with a low-profile housing to maintain ground clearance while cornering, all while adding additional attention grabbing light!
1. Prepare the Saddlebag Surface:
- Clean the Bag: Using the provided alcohol wipes, thoroughly clean the bottom surface of your saddlebag where the LED light will be mounted. Allow it a moment to dry completely.

2. Mount the LED Light:
- Pre-align the Light: Before peeling off the adhesive backing, hold the LED light up to the bottom of the saddlebag to eyeball its desired position. Some prefer it further forward, others slightly back. Find a spot that looks good to you.
- Peel Adhesive: Once you've determined the placement, carefully peel off the backing from the sticky pad on the LED light.
- Adhere the Light: Align the light precisely as you intended. Once it's stuck, it's there to stay, so be accurate. Press down firmly for a few seconds to ensure a secure bond.
- Your LED light is now installed, and you're ready to run the wiring.

3. Run the Wiring Along the Saddlebag:
- Route Initial Wire: Bring the wire from the attached LED light underneath the slot between the saddlebag and the saddlebag support bar.
- Attach Zip Tie Mounts: You will use the stick-on zip tie mounts along the outside of your bag to run the wiring up towards the area underneath your motorcycle seat.
First Mount: Place the first zip tie mount just where the bag begins to curve inward. Secure the wire loosely with a zip tie.
Second Mount: Place the second zip tie mount up in the "valley" or curve of the bag. Secure the wire loosely with a zip tie.
Third Mount: Place the third zip tie mount just underneath the hole for your saddlebag mounting screws. Crucially, ensure it is underneath this mounting hole so that when you close and mount your bags, it doesn't interfere with this part of your mount. Secure the wire loosely with a zip tie. - Check Wire Clearance: Before tightening, ensure the wiring is neatly tucked and doesn't interfere with any moving parts or closing mechanisms.
- Tighten and Trim: Once satisfied with the routing, tighten all the zip ties. Trim any excess zip tie material for a clean look.

4. Connect the Lights:
- Remove Side Cover: Carefully pull out your motorcycle's side cover to access the wiring underneath the seat.
- Route Wire Under Seat: Tuck the loose end of the LED light wire up underneath the side cover and find a spot to poke it through to reach underneath the seat.
- Replace Side Cover: Once the wire is routed, put your side cover back on.
- Locate OEM 6-Pin Connector: Find the OEM 6-pin connector on your motorcycle's wiring harness (usually under the seat or side cover).
- Disconnect OEM Connector: Disconnect the OEM 6-pin connector.
- Connect Splitter Harness: Take the provided splitter harness from your kit.
Plug one end of the splitter harness into the motorcycle's OEM wiring that you just disconnected.
Plug the other end of the splitter harness into the OEM component that was originally connected. - Connect LED Pigtails: The splitter harness will have two pigtails (one for the left light, one for the right). Plug the wire from your left saddlebag LED light into the corresponding pigtail for the left side.
- Repeat for Other Side: Perform Steps 1-4 on the right saddlebag, running the wire up and plugging it into the pigtail for the right side.
5. Test the Lighting:
- Before reinstalling your seat, turn on your motorcycle's ignition and test the new LED lights.
- Check the running light, brake light, and sequential turn signal functions on both saddlebags to ensure everything is working correctly.
- Once confirmed, you are good to go!
6. Reinstall Seat:
- Reinstall your motorcycle seat and any other panels you removed.
