Color Matched 18" Wide Fat Tire Front Fender Install from HOGWORKZ® (Fits 96+ Harley® Touring)

1. Prepare the Motorcycle:
- Lift the motorcycle using a jack or lift, ensuring the front tire is lifted just enough to relieve pressure. If using a lift, secure the motorcycle with straps.
- Ensure the jack is positioned slightly forward of the motorcycle's center.

2. Remove OEM Fender:
- Remove the four OEM fender bolts using a 1/4 inch Allen wrench.

3. Remove Brake Calipers:
- Remove the brake calipers using a 10-point 10mm socket.
- Secure the calipers out of the way using zip ties or by carefully tucking them aside.

4. Remove Front Axle:
- Remove the axle nut using a 15/16 socket.
- Loosen the 6mm Allen cinch bolt on the opposite side of the axle.
- Slide the axle out.
- Note the position of any spacers.

5. Remove Front Tire:
- Carefully remove the OEM front tire.
- Turn the forks outward to create more clearance.
- Remove any reflectors that may be in the way.

6. Protect the Forks:
- Cover the forks with microfiber cloths to prevent scratching during fender installation.
7. Install the New Fender:
- Line up the fender cutouts with the front forks, starting from the bottom and following the fork angle.
- Carefully slide the new fender into place.

8. Install Fat Front Tire.
- If there is not enough clearance, you may need to either remove the fender and install the wheel first, or lift the bike higher. In the video, they lifted the bike higher.
- They also removed the nuts from the inside of the fender, leaving the fender resting on the bolts, to gain enough clearance.
- Slide the fat tire into place.
9. Reinstall Axle and Brake Calipers:
- Reinstall the nuts securing the fender to the forks and reinstall the front axle.
- Reinstall the front axle.
- Reinstall the brake calipers and tighten the caliper bolts.
10. Final Checks:
- Lock the front tire.
- Remove any straps used to secure the motorcycle.
- Lower the motorcycle.
