Softail Saddlebag Conversion Kit Installation from HOGWORKZ® ('18-Current)
This is the end all be all solution for '18 to Current Softail owners. Convert your Harley Softail Low Rider, Deluxe, Fat Boy, Heritage, Street Bob or Slim into a bonafide bagger! Extend your journey by adding HOGWORKZ® One Touch Standard Bags. Our full Softail Conversion Bracket Kit comes with everything you need in one package!
Includes all necessary mounting hardware. A must have for anyone looking upgrade their Softail for that ultra custom look!
*To ensure fitment, exhaust must be lower than rear axle. Turn signals may require relocation on select models.
*Does not work with shotgun pipes or any exhaust that is above the passenger foot peg.
1. Remove Passenger Foot Peg Support Brackets:
- Locate the retaining clip on the passenger foot peg.
- Remove the retaining clip.
- Use a T-45 Torx wrench to remove the passenger foot peg support bracket.
2. Remove Inner Fender Bolts:
- Locate the two innermost fender bolts on the rear fender.
- Use the same T-45 Torx wrench to remove these bolts.
3. Affix U-Brackets to Saddlebag Brackets:
- Take the provided U-brackets and the saddlebag conversion bracket.
- Use the supplied bolts and nuts to attach the U-brackets to the saddlebag conversion bracket.
- Hand-tighten the bolts and nuts.
- Ensure the widest U-bracket is in the front and the slimmer bracket is in the rear.
- Using a socket wrench, tighten the bolts, but leave them slightly loose for adjustability.
- Note the groove slot in the bracket for bag style adjustability.
4. Attach the Saddlebag Support Bracket to the Bike:
- Position the saddlebag support bracket on the rear of the motorcycle.
- Reuse the OEM hardware to attach the bracket.
- Do not fully tighten the hardware at this stage.
5. Re-mount Passenger Foot Peg and Fully Tighten Rear Fender Bolts:
- Re-mount the passenger foot peg support bracket.
- Now fully tighten the rear fender bolts.
- Finish the reinstallation of the passenger foot peg.
6. Affix Saddlebag to Saddlebag Support Bracket:
- Attach the saddlebag to the saddlebag support bracket.
- Use the included security knobs to secure the saddlebag.
